The drill pipe is made of seamless steel pipe with a wall thickness of 7~12mm. It consists of two parts: the drill pipe body and the drill pipe joint. There are two ways to connect the drill pipe body joint: One is to use fine thread connection, that is, both ends of the pipe body are machined with fine male buckles, which are connected with the female fine buckle at one end of the joint. This kind of drill pipe is called fine buckle drill pipe. The other is that the pipe body and the joint are butt-welded together by friction welding, which is called butt-welded drill pipe.
Mining drill pipe is a steel pipe with a threaded tail, which is used to connect the surface equipment of the drilling rig and the drilling and grinding equipment or bottom hole device at the bottom of the drilling well. Its purpose is to deliver drilling mud to the drill bit and to raise, lower or rotate the bottom hole device together with the drill bit. It can be used multiple times during the extraction and refining of oil and gas.
Mining drill pipes are important components of mining machinery and are used to implement mining and mining activities. It is mainly composed of drill bit, drill rod, free wrench, drill rod mounting tube, bolts, lock head, etc. The quality of the drill bit is the key to the use of mining drill pipes.
The drill pipe is made of carbon steel, stainless steel and other materials, and has the advantages of high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. The free wrench can tighten the bolts and tighten the drill pipe. The drill pipe installation tube determines whether the drill pipe can be stabilized and also affects the effective use of the drill pipe. Bolts and locks keep drill pipes and other components in place. How to store and use mining drill rods are all things we should master. The drill pipe is the main component of the rotary drilling rig. Correct use can extend its service life and reduce the occurrence of failures.
Mining drill pipe storage
1) When disassembling and placing the drill pipe, use sleepers to level it to prevent collision and local deformation, and to prevent debris from entering the interior between the layers of drill pipe and causing jamming problems.
2) When the drill pipe needs to be placed out of service for a long time, the inner teeth section should be flushed in time to ensure that there is no mud, slag and other debris inside the drill pipe to prevent the mud and other debris from solidifying and affecting the next use.
3) After the drill rod is installed, rotate the drill rod forward and reverse several times before construction to prevent debris from entering the drill rod due to long-term idleness, causing jamming.
Safe use of mining drill pipes
1. After the drilling rig has been working for a period of time, check whether the supporting cylinders have leakage to prevent the mast from tilting forward, backward, left or right, resulting in an oblique hole.
2. Make sure the drill pipe and drill bit are firmly connected to prevent the drill pin from falling off and the drill bit from falling to the bottom of the hole.
3. Understand the position of the drill bit in the hole after each section of the drill pipe is extended, and also understand the extension status of each section of the drill pipe at a certain depth.
4. If the drill pipe is often stuck during use, put it down in time. Disassemble according to the disassembly steps and perform inspection and maintenance.
5. The drill pipe needs to be regularly maintained and maintained to determine the maintenance cycle, and regularly carry out rust and dust prevention treatment.
6. When the drill pipe is ventilated or watered, make sure the drill pipe is tightly connected during drilling. When the drill pipe has seals, such as O-rings, pay attention to the use of the seals. If they are damaged or corroded, replace them in time. After drilling is completed, the seals are maintained and cleaned.
7. The drill pipe should be tightened manually to ensure a tight fit (thread type). Do not use a drilling rig to drill directly to prevent damage to the drill pipe.
8. When working in acidic and alkaline areas, you need to pay attention to the corrosion of the drill pipe. When drilling is completed, the surface of the rod should be cleaned with clean water to remove the corrosion layer.
9. The drill pipe should be stored in a dry place, the bottom should be supported at multiple points, and it should be regularly maintained during long-term storage.
10. Drill pipes shall not be used as supporting platforms for heavy tail stacking, and drill pipes shall not be placed randomly under gravel or coal piles or in a scattered stack.
11. After the drill pipe is maintained and rust/dust is removed, it should be covered with a protective cap or packed and sealed to ensure that the drill pipe is often used and always new.
