Commonly Used Grades of American Standard High-pressure Boiler Tubes

Date:2024-04-30    keywords: high-pressure boiler tubes, American standard boiler tubes, ASTM A192, ASTM A210/A213/A335
High-pressure boiler tube is a pipe material used to transport high-temperature and high-pressure steam or hot water. It is often used in industrial fields such as power plants and chemical plants. Below, we will introduce several common American standard high-pressure boiler tube grades.

1. ASTM A192

This is a cold drawn seamless carbon steel boiler tube, often used in high temperature and high pressure environments. It has good heat resistance and pressure resistance and is suitable for traditional coal, oil and gas and nuclear energy projects.

2. ASTM A210

This is a seamless medium carbon steel screen tube suitable for boilers and superboilers. It has good toughness and high strength and can withstand working conditions under high temperature and pressure.

3. ASTM A213

This is a standard for seamless alloy steel boiler and heat exchanger tubing. It is mainly composed of chromium, molybdenum, nickel and other alloy elements, and has excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance.

4. ASTM A335

This is an alloy steel seamless steel pipe, commonly used in boilers, super boilers and heat exchangers under high temperature and high pressure conditions. It has excellent high temperature resistance, pressure resistance and excellent oxidation resistance.

Next, we will explain in detail the characteristics and application areas of each grade:

ASTM A192 is a cold-drawn seamless carbon steel pipe used in high-temperature and high-pressure boilers and heat exchangers. This pipe has good heat resistance and can withstand stress and thermal cycling at high temperatures. It is widely used in traditional coal, oil and gas and nuclear energy projects. Due to its excellent high temperature resistance, ASTM A192 pipe is particularly suitable for boiler tube bundles and inlet and outlet piping.

ASTM A210 is a seamless medium carbon steel screen tube commonly used in boilers and superboilers. This kind of pipe has good toughness and high strength and can withstand the stress in high temperature and high pressure environments. It is widely used in thermal power plants, chemical engineering and power stations to transport hot water and steam.

ASTM A213 is a standard for alloy steel seamless boiler and heat exchanger tubing. This kind of pipe is composed of alloy elements such as chromium, molybdenum and nickel, and has excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance. ASTM A213 pipe is widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, power and petroleum industries to transport high-temperature and high-pressure fluids.

ASTM A335 is an alloy steel seamless steel pipe that is widely used under high temperature and high pressure conditions. This kind of pipe has excellent high temperature resistance, pressure resistance and oxidation resistance. Due to its excellent performance, ASTM A335 pipes are widely used in boilers, super boilers, heat exchangers and other fields.

Although the above-mentioned grades are commonly used in American standard high-pressure boiler pipes, other factors should be considered in selecting the appropriate pipe material, such as working conditions, stress requirements, corrosive environments, and pipe size and thickness. When selecting pipe materials, you also need to refer to relevant standards and specifications to ensure the reliability and safety of the pipeline system.
