What are the length specifications of the steel pipe?
The standard length of steel pipes is generally 6 meters, 9 meters or 12 meters, and the length can also be customized according to customer needs.
Steel pipe sizing is usually for straight seam steel pipes and seamless steel pipes. The most common fixed length is 6 meters, but some users often request 5.8 meter fixed length, 7 meter fixed length, 8 meter fixed length, 9 meter fixed length, 11.8 meter fixed length, 12 meter fixed length, etc.
The diameter of steel pipe can be divided into outer diameter, inner diameter and nominal diameter. The outer diameter of a seamless steel pipe is represented by the letter D, followed by the outer diameter size and wall thickness.
For example: a seamless steel pipe with an outer diameter of 108MM and a wall thickness of 5MM is represented by D108*5. Others such as reinforced concrete pipes, cast iron pipes, galvanized steel pipes, etc. are represented by DN. In design drawings, nominal diameter is generally used. The nominal diameter is a standard artificially specified for the convenience of design, manufacturing and maintenance.
The length of the steel pipe is mostly related to the diameter of the steel pipe. Generally speaking, the thicker the steel pipe, the longer it is. Small-diameter steel pipes are mostly below 6 meters. Most of the pipes above 500mm are 10 to 12 meters, and others range from 6 to 10 meters.
According to the production process, steel pipes mainly include spiral steel pipes, straight seam steel pipes and seamless steel pipes.

2. The length of straight seam steel pipes is generally between 6 meters and 12 meters, and there are very few requirements for fixed lengths in China.
3. The length of seamless steel pipes is generally between 6 meters and 12 meters. When exported, for the convenience of transportation, fixed-length delivery is often used.
Actual application of steel pipe length:
For some special projects or fields of use, the conventional 6 meters, 9 meters or 12 meters cannot meet the actual needs. At this time, the length of the steel pipe needs to be customized. For example, in some production processes in the chemical industry, production equipment needs to be installed at distant locations, and standard length steel pipes cannot meet the requirements. Therefore, production companies need to specially customize steel pipes with a length of 14 meters to meet equipment installation and production requirements.
