Seamless Steel Pipe Performance Testing Items

Seamless steel pipe (SMLS) is an important building material and industrial material. In order to ensure the product quality of seamless steel pipes, various tests are often required in the production and supply process to ensure that the quality of the steel pipes meets the standards and requirements. The following are common process performance testing items for seamless steel pipes:

1. Hydraulic test
The tested seamless steel pipe was filled with water under a certain working pressure. And keep it under the working pressure for a certain period of time (the working pressure value of the test and the time of the voltage stabilizer tube are determined according to the specification), and there is no leakage. Experimentation is a high-quality test that is often used for full inspection of a product.

2. Tensile test

Put the seamless steel pipe test piece on the bending test machine, and bend it to the angle specified by the specification according to the standard bending core, and there is no crack or crack on the surface of the bending part.

3. Flattening test
The seamless steel pipe test piece is placed between two tablet computer fixtures, and a force is applied between the fixtures to make the interval exceed the standard value, and the deformation area of the test piece is checked for defects such as gaps and cracks.

4. Flaring test
During the flaring test, place the seamless steel pipe specimen on the workbench with the opening facing up. Press the jacking center with standard taper into the seamless steel tube. Until the expansion ratio of the test diameter exceeds the standard, there is no crack on the surface of the test piece.

Other testing items for seamless steel pipes:

1. Appearance inspection
The purpose is to check whether the surface quality of the seamless steel pipe is good, such as whether there is rust, oil stains and other defects.

2. Size inspection
The purpose is to ensure that the size specifications of seamless steel pipes meet the standards and contract requirements.

3. Chemical composition detection
The purpose is to detect the main elemental components in the seamless steel pipe to determine that its quality and material meet the relevant standards.

4. Mechanical performance testing
The purpose is to test the tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and other mechanical properties of the seamless steel pipe to determine that its stress performance meets the relevant standards.

5. Magnetic particle inspection
The purpose is to find various surface and internal defects in seamless steel pipes, such as cracks, inclusions, pores, etc.

6. Ultrasonic testing
The flaws in the seamless steel pipe are detected by ultrasonic detection equipment to determine the structure and internal quality of the pipe material.

7. Hardness test
Test the hardness or strength of seamless steel pipes for related processing or welding.

In short, these testing items can effectively detect various performance parameters of seamless steel pipes to ensure that the quality and performance of seamless steel pipes meet the standards and contract requirements.
