Chemical Degreasing Notes For Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes

Generally, stainless steel seamless pipes are subjected to a pickling passivation process. In order to make the surface texture better and the appearance is more clean and beautiful, there is a key step in the pickling passivation process, which is also very error-prone, that is, chemical degreasing. Steps, once the operation is wrong, the surface of the seamless pipe will not be completely degreased, which will not only affect the appearance but also affect the texture. Therefore, we will focus on the precautions for chemical degreasing:

1. Chemical degreasing adopts the foaming method in the tank, the oil removal tank is made of steel plate, and the inner wall is covered with PVC or polyethylene.

2. Stop the chemical degreasing treatment with 12~15% nitric acid (by volume). The temperature is 40 °C~60 °C, and the time is 2~4 hours.

3. When the stainless steel seamless tube is immersed in the tank, pay attention to the position where it is placed, and leave air in the tube.

4. During the soaking process, the stainless steel seamless pipe should be moved up and down or back and forth to make the inner cavity solution change from time to time to improve the effect. Remove the seamless tube if necessary, rinse with water and stop soaking.

5. Chemical degreasing until the surface of the seamless tube is completely wetted by water.

The pickling passivation process of stainless steel seamless pipe, in addition to chemical degreasing, as well as the steps of rinsing, passivation and drying, are all indispensable, and also must be carefully operated, so as to beautify the seamless pipe. The effect, at the same time in the pickling passivation must be done to prevent damage caused by accidental collision.
