Stainless steel is one of the strongest metal materials used in construction. Because of its good corrosion resistance, it can enable structural components to permanently maintain the integrity of engineering design. Seamless stainless steel elbows will not corrode, pit, rust or wear. The raw material for rolling seamless elbow pipe fittings is round tube blanks, which are cut by a cutting machine into billets with a length of about one meter and sent to the furnace for heating via a conveyor belt. The billet is fed into the furnace and heated to a temperature of about 1200 degrees Celsius.
Temperature control in the furnace is a key issue. After the round tube billet comes out of the furnace, it must be pierced by a pressure piercing machine. The most common piercing machine is the tapered roller piercing machine. This punching machine has high production efficiency, good product quality, large perforation diameter expansion, and can punch a variety of stainless steel pipes. The fuel is hydrogen or acetylene.
Importance of elbow back arc detection
The current process of making seamless elbows will lead to the phenomenon of back arc thinning. Under normal circumstances, the wall thickness of the mouth will be about two millimeters thinner than that of the back arc. With common thickness and pressure, there will not be much potential safety hazard even if the back arc is thinned, because the seamless elbow will have been replaced before any dangerous accident occurs in the elbow. But as a strict engineering project, nothing is constant, and the medium in the pipeline is also very complex, not just water. It may be oil or other impurities. The temperature is high and the pressure is great. The thickness of the back arc, which is the weak point, determines the life of the seamless elbow. Therefore, the importance of detecting the back arc is naturally very great.
Advantages of using seamless stainless steel elbows
1. Sanitary and non-toxic: The stainless steel elbow material is completely composed of carbon and hydrogen, without any toxic heavy metal salt stabilizer added. The sanitary performance of the material has been tested by national authoritative departments.
2. Light weight: The density of stamped elbow is 0.89-0.91g/cm, which is only one tenth of that of steel pipe. Due to its light weight, it can greatly reduce the transportation cost and installation construction intensity.
3. Good heat resistance: when the working water temperature is 70 degrees, the softening temperature is 140 degrees.
4. Good corrosion resistance: Except for a few hydrogenating agents, seamless elbows can resist the erosion of various chemical media, have excellent acid resistance, alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, will not rust, will not corrode, will not breed bacteria, and have no electrochemical corrosion.
5. Good thermal insulation: Due to the low thermal conductivity of the material, the thermal conductivity at 20 degrees Celsius is 0.21-0.24W/mk, which is much smaller than that of steel pipes (43-52W/mk) and purple steel pipes (333W/mk), so PP-R pipes have good thermal insulation.
6. High impact resistance: Due to its unique impact strength performance, seamless elbows have been significantly improved compared to other solid wall pipes, and its ring stiffness is equivalent to 1.3 times that of solid wall.
7. Long service life: The service life of the pipe is more than 50 years under the rated operating temperature and pressure. It is anti-ultraviolet and anti-radiation, so that the product will never fade.
Advantages of seamless stainless steel elbows: Reduced maintenance and replacement costs
First of all, seamless stainless steel elbows have good corrosion resistance. Stainless steel materials such as 304 and 316 can resist corrosion in various harsh environments and extend their service life. Compared with ordinary carbon steel or cast iron elbows, seamless stainless steel elbows do not require frequent anti-corrosion treatment, reduce the use of chemical coatings, and reduce environmental pollution. In addition, due to their strong corrosion resistance, seamless stainless steel elbows have a longer service life, reducing leakage and replacement frequency due to corrosion, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
Secondly, the high strength and wear resistance of seamless stainless steel elbows are also one of its advantages. Under high wear conditions, seamless stainless steel elbows can maintain good performance and are not easily damaged. This not only reduces downtime and repair costs due to wear, but also reduces the generation of scrap. In contrast, elbows made of other materials may need to be replaced frequently, increasing the amount of waste and placing a greater burden on the environment.
To further ensure the performance of seamless stainless steel elbows, manufacturers usually adopt advanced manufacturing processes and strict quality control. For example, by optimizing stamping and welding processes, energy consumption and waste in the production process can be reduced. At the same time, strict testing and certification are carried out to ensure the performance and reliability of the product, so as to achieve long-term and stable operation in actual applications.
