Why are the Pipes for Industrial Boilers All Seamless Steel Pipes?

Date:2021-06-21    keywords:industrial boiler pipes, seamless steel pipe
Seamless steel pipes for boilers are high-quality carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless heat-resistant steel seamless steel pipes used to manufacture high-pressure and above-pressure water-tube boiler heating surfaces. These boiler tubes are often working under high temperature and high pressure, and the tubes will be oxidized and corroded under the action of high temperature flue gas and water vapor. Therefore, the steel pipes are required to have high durability, high oxidation resistance, and good organization stability.

Industrial boiler pipes are mainly seamless steel pipes, because the performance indicators of seamless steel pipes can fully meet the requirements of boiler applications. Although the cost is high, its safety and reliability are high. Welded steel pipes are generally used as low-pressure fluid delivery pipelines within 2Mpa. High-temperature and high-pressure equipment like industrial boilers must use seamless steel pipes, and the thickness of the pipe wall is correspondingly thicker.

Nowadays, welded steel pipes are also used in medium and low pressure boilers, thanks to the rapid improvement of welding technology. For example, the joint microstructure of the pipe butt butt friction welded steel pipe is the same, and after the pipe joints are remelted through the butt joint and the corner joint, it is difficult to observe the clump joint traces with the naked eye. The microstructure of its parts has been The clumps are exactly the same.

Common problems in the surface treatment and product processing of seamless steel pipes for high-pressure boilers:
1. The surface of seamless steel pipes for high-pressure boilers is inconsistent: only the welds are pickled and passivated, resulting in uneven surfaces and affecting appearance.

2. The scratches on seamless steel pipes for high-pressure boilers are difficult to remove: the whole is pickled and passivated, and the various scratches produced during the processing cannot be removed, and the scratches and welding spatters that adhere to the stainless steel surface cannot be removed. Impurities such as carbon steel, splash, etc. cause chemical corrosion or electrochemical corrosion to rust in the presence of corrosive media.

3. Welding seam defects: Welding seam defects are more serious, and manual and mechanical grinding treatment methods are used to make up. The grinding marks produced will cause uneven surface and affect appearance.
