The Difference Between ERW Welded Steel Pipe and Ordinary Welded Steel Pipe

Date:2020-05-20    keywords:erw pipe,weled pipe
"ERW welded steel pipe" is a straight seam resistance welded pipe, abbreviated as ERW. It is used to transport petroleum, natural gas and other vapor-liquid objects, and can meet various requirements of high and low pressure. It currently occupies a pivotal position in the field of transportation pipes in the world.
1. Ordinary welded steel pipe refers to the ordinary "submerged arc welded steel pipe", which is represented by "SC" in electrical engineering. It can be used as a water gas pipe or a threading pipe, which is relatively thick.
2. The line pipe, that is, the wire pipe, is relatively thin. It is indicated by "T" and can only be used as a threading pipe.
3. The ERW steel pipe is a "high-frequency resistance welded steel pipe", which is different from the ordinary welding pipe welding process. The welding self-seam is formed by melting the base metal of the steel belt body, and the mechanical strength is better than the ordinary welding pipe.
ERW stands for resistance welding. Resistance welding has the characteristics of high production efficiency, low cost, material saving, and easy automation. Therefore, it is widely used in aviation, aerospace, energy, electronics, automotive, light industry and other industrial sectors. It is one of the important welding processes.
