Galvanized steel pipe is a steel pipe with a layer of zinc on the surface. The zinc layer can effectively prevent rust inside the steel pipe, extend the service life of the steel pipe, and also give the steel pipe some special properties.

Stainless steel pipe is a hollow long round steel, mainly made of stainless steel. Stainless steel refers to steel that does not rust in weak corrosive environments such as air and fresh water. In the building water supply and drainage system, galvanized pipes are commonly used for the transportation of domestic water and fire water. It can withstand a certain pressure and transport water to various water points in the building. However, since the galvanized layer is mainly used to prevent rust inside the steel pipe, it may have a slight impact on the water quality.

 

When transporting hot water, when the water temperature is high (such as over 60°C), the service life of the galvanized pipe will be affected, and problems such as zinc layer shedding, pipe corrosion and perforation may occur. In terms of drainage, galvanized pipes are used for domestic sewage and rainwater discharge. Their relatively smooth inner walls help drainage, but if the sewage contains more corrosive substances, it will also accelerate its damage.

 

2. Stainless steel pipes

Stainless steel pipes have obvious advantages in water supply and drainage systems. Stainless steel pipes are used for domestic water transportation because they do not pollute the water quality, have strong corrosion resistance, and can maintain good performance for a long time under various water conditions.

 

Even when conveying hot water, stainless steel pipes can work normally at higher temperatures (such as around 100°C) without material aging or corrosion. For drainage systems, stainless steel pipes can resist corrosive components in sewage, such as industrial wastewater containing acids and alkalis, chemical detergent residues in domestic sewage, etc. They have a long service life and are easy to clean and maintain, reducing the frequency of pipe blockage and repairs.

1. Galvanized steel pipes

Galvanized pipes are used for scaffolding and guardrails at construction sites. They are relatively low in cost and strong enough to meet the requirements of general construction. However, when exposed to outdoor environments for a long time, the galvanized layer of galvanized pipes will be corroded by oxygen, rain, ultraviolet rays and other factors in the atmosphere, resulting in discoloration and peeling of the galvanized layer. Regular maintenance, such as painting, is required to extend its service life.

 

2. Stainless steel pipes

When stainless steel pipes are used for building structure support and protection, they are beautiful and durable, and do not require frequent maintenance. They have high strength and good corrosion resistance, and can maintain good performance for a long time in outdoor environments. For example, stainless steel pipes are used in the facade guardrails and landscape facilities of some high-end buildings, which not only provide safety protection functions, but also play a decorative role and improve the overall quality of the building.

1. Galvanized steel pipes

As a protective casing for wires and cables, galvanized pipe mainly uses its mechanical strength to prevent wires and cables from being mechanically damaged by the outside world. It can withstand a certain degree of pressure and impact to protect the integrity of the internal wires and cables.

 

At the same time, galvanized pipes have good fire resistance and can protect wires and cables for a certain period of time in the event of a fire, delaying the spread of the fire. However, in a humid environment, the galvanized layer of the galvanized pipe may be corroded, which may affect its protective performance after long-term use.

 

2. Stainless steel pipes

When stainless steel pipes are used as protective casings for electrical systems, in addition to providing good mechanical protection, they also have excellent corrosion resistance. In harsh environments such as moisture, acid and alkali, stainless steel pipes can better protect wires and cables. Moreover, the appearance of stainless steel pipes is more beautiful. In some places with high requirements for interior decoration of buildings, the use of stainless steel pipes can improve the overall aesthetics.
