What Material does ASTM A53 Correspond to in China

Date:2020-04-23    keywords:ASTM A53,material
[ASTM A53]: It is a steel grade produced according to the American ASTM standard, which belongs to the American standard grade. Among them, A53-F corresponds to domestic q235 steel, A53-A corresponds to domestic 10 # steel, and A53-B corresponds to domestic 20 # steel.

[Q235]: Ordinary carbon structural steel, also known as A3 steel. Q represents the yield limit of this material. The following 235 refers to the yield value of this material, which is around 235MPa. And with the increase of the thickness of the material, the yield value will be reduced. Due to the moderate carbon content, the overall performance is better, the strength, plasticity and welding properties are better matched, and the most widely used.

[10 # steel] Grade: 10 steel; Executive standard: GB / T699-1999 "High-quality carbon structural steel"; No. 10 steel has good plasticity and toughness, and is easy to form by cold and hot processing, After normalizing or cold processing, the cutting performance is good, the weldability is excellent, there is no temper brittleness, and the hardenability and hardenability are poor. Manufacturing parts that require little stress and high toughness, such as car bodies, receptacles, deep drawing utensils, pipes, gaskets, etc., can be used for cold rolling, cold punching, cold heading, cold bending, hot rolling and other processes. It can also be used as carburizing parts and carbonitriding parts with low core strength.

[20 # steel] Grade: 20 steel; Standard: GB / T 699-1999 "High-quality carbon structural steel"; This steel is a high-quality low-carbon carbon steel, cold extruded, carburized and hardened steel. The steel has low strength and good toughness, plasticity and weldability. The tensile strength is 355 ~ 500MPa, and the elongation is ≥24%.

Tips: ASTM A53 ERW pipe is a typical carbon steel pipe. It is largely used to convey fluids at low / medium pressures such as oil, gas, steam, water, air and also for mechanical applications.
