Technical Performance Inspection Standard for Seamless Steel Pipe

Date:2019-12-17    keywords:inspection standard,seamless steel pipe
The technical performance test of seamless steel tubes can be tested through four aspects: hydraulic test, flattening test, bending test, and flare test, to test the applicable ability of the steel pipe in the subsequent processing and manufacturing process. Commonly used process performance tests include water pressure, squashing, bending, and flaring tests.

(1) Hydraulic test: The steel pipe under test is filled with water of a certain pressure, and the pressure is maintained for a certain time (the test pressure value and the stabilization time are determined according to the standard), and there is no leakage. This test is a non-destructive test and is often used for full product inspection.
(2) Flattening test: Place the steel pipe sample between two flat fixtures, and apply the force between the fixtures to achieve the standard value, and check that the sample deformation zone is free of cracks, cracks and other defects.
(3) Bending test: Put the steel tube sample on a bending tester, and bend it to the angle required by the standard according to the bend core radius specified in the standard. The surface of the bend position is free of defects such as cracks or rips.
(4) Flare test Place the steel pipe specimen on the work surface with the opening facing up, and press the top core selected according to the standard taper into the steel pipe until the test outer diameter expansion rate reaches the standard, and there are no defects such as cracks or rips on the surface of the sample.
